Recent Work
In May of 1997, Peter Rohmann Associates
Inc. were awarded roof consulting work involving 47 schools (1,563,035
square feet total) for the York and Etobicoke district of the Toronto
Catholic District School Board. The Board had decided that the overall
scope of work was too large for a single consulting firm to undertake
and they divided their schools into 4 districts, namely Toronto,
Scarborough, North York, and York Region and Etobicoke. The intent was
to quickly develop an action plan that would be used by all four
consultants in order to maintain a uniform, seamless project with the
same intent. The overall project also included re-roofing with respect
to 3 individual schools.
Peter Rohmann Associates Inc. spearheaded
the project, and developed the required AutoCAD templates and
specifications. Also, all of the cut tests required to substantiate roof
integrity were conducted by roofing contractors in our presence on a
unit price basis. Re-roofing work was completed on time before school
restarted in September and consulting work was completed in early
October 1997 all as per schedule. The School Board was and still is
satisfied with the ongoing work. We have maintained our relationship
with the Board and continue to work with them in respect to this
district.
